I found Jen very passionate towards the healthy lifestyle for the female body: grounded with science, experience, knowledge and realistic goals setting. With her one-on-one sessions, regular communications and tracking, she developed my trust in her coaching, which led to my physique transformation within months and boosted my competitiveness for the stage.
I got in touch with Jen at the end of 2017. I wanted to give competitive bodybuilding a go after being inspired by those who has competed before me, but I had no idea how to go about it! Prior to this, I have explored the different types of diets out there and lived an active lifestyle. I also did a lot of social and performance dancing and attended the gym regularly. However, I felt I was facing a plateau and I need a brand new fit challenge in my life. Jen coached and guided me in every aspect of prepping for my first physique competition season while keeping me motivated in the wake of the challenges I faced. We covered off diets, workouts, posing, and she also connected me with other girls training with her. This really helped with my motivation as training in bodybuilding on it’s own can be quite a lonesome sport.
After the competition, Jen helped me ‘reverse’ safely back into my normal routine.
After about 7-9 months of prepping for season 2 in 2018, I competed at a total 4 competitions across two body building federations ICN and ANB and proudly represented ACT (and #TEAMJEN!) on the National and Global stage. I took out a number of placings with coming 2th at one of my divisions at the ICN National being one of my best – an impressive and proud achievement for my first year of competing! The stage experience was also so much fun and I was amazed at the transformation I achieved simply by following through with the processes that she set out for me to follow.
After many years of active lifestyle consisting of weight loss challenges, group fitness classes and bootcamps, I must say that this bodybuilding journey that she has walked with me has been by far the most incredibly rewarding one! Beyond what I initially dreamt off!
Right now, I am on a mummy break but I will not hesitate to reach out to Jen and work with her again when I require any eating or fitness advice or embark on a new fitness challenge!
